Our first J.S.S. blog post!

John Schneider’s always in motion. After all, he’s a storyteller on a mission with dreams to realize. Now, he’s developing John Schneider Studios, a place where other storytellers are invited to make their movies, fulfilling visions of their own.

As a filmmaker, John works long days with his film crew, bringing life to the stories that he’s written. As the owner of a film studio, John continuously collaborates with his studio team, ensuring that guest filmmakers at J.S.S., feel supported, so they can focus on telling the best versions of their stories.

Being on the J.S.S. Team, whether it’s filming or studio development, means that John has given you the opportunity to write yourself into this highly creative chapter of his life. He’ll ask for your input, and he really does listen. He’s cast you into the role of a fellow artist and he welcomes you to paint with him on his 58 acre canvas. That’s quite an opportunity, especially since he’s got 36 years of reputation and experience to back the studios. It’s a little like Charlie from the Chocolate Factory wanting your opinion on how to build on some already amazing chocolate.

There’s a lot happening at the studio these days. Some of the more recent movies shot there include, “Heartland”, which is now in post production. This is a project produced by Alicia Allain, and stars John along with his son, Chasen Schneider. Alicia and John have also just wrapped up “Like Son” - a film that’s kicked off the J.S.S. film mentorship program. They’re now planning on shooting “Anderson Bench” in April.

Our studio team is growing all the time; working to build and expand the storytelling factory that is John Schneider Studios.

On this blog, we’re going to showcase some of the extraordinary talents at J.S.S. through Q & A’s and guest commentary. We welcome you to join us on this incredible journey.
