Even in this ever changing world some things refuse to bend. Meet Gunnery Sergeant Quint North. As a creature of habit and discipline, the current PC world and "patriots are the enemy of progress" mentality makes no sense at all to him.
The propensity of athletes taking a knee and disrespecting not only this great country, but also those who gave their lives protecting it, makes even less sense... As a patriot, the love I have for this country and to see what is happening makes me sick to my stomach!!! Everybody should watch this film! I know to lots of people it won't mean shit, but to more and more it should ignite a fire in their heart!!!
By the way, as a kid growing up in the late 70's early 80's, my mom had a orange Chevy chevette.
I use to climb in and out the windows and Watched every episode of the Duke Boys multiple times!!!

We bought the "To Die For" movie. We're in Montana, a state that still fly's our flags freely and The Pledge of Allegiance is still said at school. We don't take these freedoms lightly. We have custody of our Great grandson who just turned 7 ( we've had him since he was 16 months old). He loves God, our family, and is a little patriot. I don't know where he got that from!, Lol. Anyway, he watched it with us and enjoyed it until the kids ran over the dog! That wasn't cool, of course we cried. It was a very thoughtful,well put together movie. Good job John!

As a Marine I can't help but point out a few things.
1. You don't say Gunnery Sergeant, E7! That's like calling you John John.
2. You don't get activated by phone! Registered mail!
3. Press the "cover" (hat) next time.
Other than that my Patriotic friend the story was very good.
Marines are the only ones who will beat you up. We still love ya!

My only issue is that the cd case was broken and not sure about the cd yet we'll have to try it first, it doesn't look like it was hit but we'll have to let you know. I love the story line, even if it is about the shitshow we call society today. I am patriotic, I am from a patriotic family of Veterans. WWI, WWII, Korea.
I spent 3 years fighting.... I mean, working with, my closest city discussing the non-existence of illumination on the American Flag at the local baseball field. It took that long for them to make it right. But, I never gave up. I am known as the self appointed flag monitor. I will always wear that title with honor.

As a US Army Vietnam veteran the movie really hit home. Had tears in my eyes. I liked the movie and plan to share it with guys who I know will appreciate it.
Watching all the protests because the Flag is "threatening", knowing the cost of the freedoms the "protesters" enjoy, I am disgusted, pissed off, etc.
I arrived in Vietnam on 6/68 at 19 years of age. After 2 tours I came back "home?" 5/4/70 just before my 22nd birthday and got out of the Army. I wasn't the same person, although I did not know it until 40+ years later.
My Brothers and the Flag were all we had.
My "welcome home" was something I did not expect.
We were told we were defending America. In my unit we had 70+ KIA, 200+ wounded and now get to watch OUR Flag being ripped up, stomped on, and set on fire.
The "protesters" know nothing about the cost paid by the American Military, and, from my point of view, do not care.

Ordered and received the "To Die For" DVD and watched it the same evening.
Although we greatly liked the story, the B&W-styled video effects (over-saturated video/too stark), extreme close-ups, and what appeared to be the use of green-screen type, post-production processing (for scenes we guessed needed A/V reshoots) were all very distracting.
Want more, of similarly themed movies, but would greatly appreciate a higher quality end product.

That movie went straight to my heart My husband Capt Richard B Brockman was killed in Vietnam Jan17 1967.He fought to protect his country and his family.I wonder if he saw it now if he would feel that he gave his life for a country that appreciated his sacrifice.It is a sad day when you can't mention God,because it offends somebody.That the flag that feels you with joy and pridan no longer be on display.

I thought story line was very good and needs to be out in the main stream so more can see and hear it. The plot seemed to be missing something but was overall a really good movie. It’s pathetic!
I’m an old Texas boy, born and raised.
I enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1982, and retired in 2004.
Afterwards I became an Army Civilian and worked at the JMRC Training Center in Hohenfels, Germany from 1998-2021, and PCS’d to Hawaii and worked at the Training Center there. I retired completely in March 2023 after over 40 years of active federal service.
I believe in what you are doing.
